Dr. Elias Tsoutsanis is Chief Researcher at the Technology Innovation Institute’s Propulsion and Space Research Center in the UAE. He leads a multidisciplinary team of experts advancing airbreathing, rocket, and electric propulsion, while leveraging artificial intelligence to create advanced propulsion technologies, alongside integrated software, hardware, and AIpowered solutions.​

With over 25 years of global experience, he has held faculty and research leadership roles across the UK, UAE, Qatar, and Greece. He has directed major R&D initiatives in engine performance, simulation and control, diagnostics and prognostics, and AIenabled digital twin technology for propulsion and energy systems.​

A Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society and a Chartered Engineer, Dr. Tsoutsanis holds a PhD in Gas Turbine Propulsion from Cranfield University, an MEng in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Liverpool, and a Certificate in Management Excellence (Leadership, Innovation & Strategy) from Harvard Business School.
