H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ebrahim Al-Aseeri serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Bahrain Space Agency. He holds a Ph.D. and a Master's degree in Reactors Design from the University of Florida, USA. Additionally, he earned a Master's degree in Bioreactors from the University of Manchester, a certificate equivalent to a Master's degree in Academic Practice from York St. John University (UK), and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Bahrain. Dr. Al-Aseeri was instrumental in the establishment of the Agency, greatly contributing to the Kingdom’s advancements in space science and technology. He was a driving force in the development of the National Space Policy and Strategies, ensuring alignment with His Majesty’s vision and overseeing its effective implementation. He played a key role in the founding of the Arab Space Cooperation Group, actively represents Bahrain in multiple international space organizations and working groups, significantly enhancing Bahrain's regional and global presence in the space sector. His distinguished service has been recognized with several prestigious honors, including being awarded the National Action First Class Medal by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the development of the space sector in Bahrain. In 2024, he was honored with the IAF Global Space Leader Award, further underscoring his impact and leadership in the international space community. Furthermore, Dr. Al-Aseeri is a member of the board of trustees for the Bahrain Center for Strategic, International, and Energy Studies (Derasat).
