Can you give us an overview of what you will be presenting at Cargo Connect 2019?
 
Kuehne+Nagel “e”touch and online products will be introduced such as, KN innovations, like KN Freightnet, KN Pledge, KN Sea Explorer, KN LogIndex with improvements noted in efficiency, Connectivity, profitability through cost management.
 
How important is the Middle East region to Kuehne + Nagel?
 
The Middle Eastern Region does show exceptional growth potential for KN, due to a limited market share of KN and the vast opportunities in all Industry sectors. We at Kuehne+Nagel are focused on providing our customers both in the Middle East and globally end to end visibility and reliability. Our digital and efficiency drive places us as the partner who is able to navigate the future.  
 
As experts in automation, can you tell us about Kuehne + Nagel’s capabilities that the industry can benefit from?
 
Our mission to move towards etouch and automation in 2022 with less paper and increased API connectivities which will provide and even faster time to market with increased response time as well as accuracy towards our customer requests as well as improved planning capability. 
 
Aerospace logistics presents complex needs – how does your ‘Supply in the Sky’ model meet these needs? Today’s aerospace companies face challenges that need care and consideration to resolve. In order to succeed they must integrate improved logistics, both in terms of performance and cost, into their overall value chain – or risk being left behind. Now there is a solution:
Production Logistics, Supplier Management, In Flight Services, Spare Parts Logistics, Engine Logistics, Incident Management. 
 
What do you consider the main opportunities and challenges currently facing the cargo industry in the Middle East?
 
Limited short term growth and decreased demand in the GCC are the main challenge in the ME. Kuehne+ Nagel is geared for growth within the region with solid land, sea and airfreight solutions that complement our existing contract logistics and distribution service offering. We are in a position to support customers that have their own existing logistics departments or equally support the client that outsources the movement of their goods to third party service providers. 
 
How is Kuehne + Nagel in particular preparing to meet these opportunities and challenges?
 
Being close to our customer and listen to the market is the obvious answer and this is achieved through joint workshops, training sessions and relationship building. With our “Care” methodology and our drive to meet customer needs and develop tailor made Supply chain and Door to Door solutions, which can increase the efficiency of our customer.
 
Why is it important for Kuehne + Nagel to support Cargo Connect?
 
We see this as an opportunity to communicate with the Industry and our Customer as well as introduce new ideas but also learn about new industry solutions and demands from various participants from the industry.
