Jennifer Desharnais, Senior Director, Environmental Protection and Sustainability, ACI World

Jennifer has been working with the ACI World Environmental Protection and Sustainability team for five years. She has over 18 years’ experience in the travel industry, including 13 years in aviation. She holds an MSc in Air Transport Management from Cranfield University. 

Jennifer is the Secretary of ACI’s World Environment Standing Committee (WEnSC), where airport members from all regions come together to work on sustainability matters, from energy transition and decarbonization, circular economy, adaptation and resilience, to biodiversity and ESG reporting, to name a few. She is ACI World’s appointed Observer to the ICAO Committee on Aviation Environmental Protection (CAEP), where she co-leads several task groups in Working Group 2 – Airports and Operations. She is also engaging with other international organizations such as the World Economic Forum, where she is part of the leadership team for the Airports of Tomorrow. Jennifer also obtained a Certificate in Advanced Studies in Sustainable Tourism Management and an ESG Professional Certificate focusing on the Board’s perspective.
