As Vice President of the Airport Operations Control Centre (AOCC) at Dubai Airports, Kan Ni leads a multidisciplinary team that orchestrates the smooth flow of more than 250,000 guests through Dubai International (DXB) every day. His leadership ensures seamless coordination across airside and terminal operations, using data insights, advanced technology, and collaborative decision-making to maintain efficiency and service excellence 24 hours a day.

Kan’s role is critical to managing operational performance and disruption recovery at DXB, where he works closely with airlines, government agencies, and service partners to enhance situational awareness and optimise resource planning. His focus on innovation and continuous improvement has contributed to DXB’s reputation as one of the most efficiently run airports in the world.

Before joining Dubai Airports, Kan served as Head of Airside at Gatwick Airport, where he led the Air Traffic Control transition and introduced Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM) initiatives that enabled record aircraft movements on a single runway. He holds a Master’s in Engineering from Imperial College London and an MBA from Warwick University.
