Munish Khurana: Senior Manager Business Development - EUROCONTROL
A technologist at heart with entrepreneurial passion, Munish has led change in organizations in Europe, USA, and the Middle East to grow their business. He currently works for EUROCONTROL as a Senior Manager - Business Development in the European Green Sky Directorate, where he is responsible for running its stakeholder outreach programme.
A regular speaker at international conferences, he is recognized in the industry as a leading figure in innovative areas of U-space and Advanced Air Mobility. Working with DG Move, EASA, SESAR JU and European Defence Agency, he chairs a European think tank stakeholder network on U-space with the aim of sharing lessons learned to implement U-space to manage drone flights. Selected by European Commission, he was part of the team that developed EU’s Drone Strategy 2.0 in 2022.
Munish has proven skills in improving maturity of organizations and preparing them to grow their business organically by implementing internal changes and inorganically via mergers and acquisitions. Commercially astute, he is passionate about developing business in new markets.
For managing delivery of 360-degree flight simulator at Dubai Air Navigation Services, Munish was awarded the best “Technology implementation of the year” at Business Awards 2013 in Dubai.
He defined a “Go To Market” strategy in 2015 to grow aviation business of FTSE 100 company globally in ANSP, Airlines, Airports and MRO market segments.
Munish developed business case for Dutch ANSP (LVNL) in 2018 to centralize Air Traffic Control Tower and Approach operations at Schiphol (Amsterdam) using digital remote tower services.
He has published ten papers on Technology management in international conferences and journals. Munish holds a research degree (MPhil) in Software Engineering from Nottingham Trent University (UK) and Global Executive MBA from Rotterdam School of Management (NL).
