Q: How are industry players adapting technology to cater to the changing needs in the aerospace market?

The way we travel between and within our cities is broken. Its slow, frustrating and polluting. The rise of eVTOLs will change how the world thinks about short haul travel. 

At Vertical, we are approaching this by balancing safety with innovation.

Our aircraft has been designed to meet the world’s highest aviation safety standards - the 10⁻⁹ level applied to commercial airliners - and to deliver a step change in operating economics. 

With a luxurious cabin that accommodates up to six seats, our customers can more than double their operating profits compared to other four-seat concepts. We look forward to revealing our category leading certification aircraft in December. 

Earlier this year we shared more about our hybrid-electric variant which will increase travel distance and payload for customers, addressing increasing needs for faster, quieter and more sustainable transport in defense and logistics sectors, in particular. 

Q: In which areas and geographies do you see strongest potential for growth?

We see strong momentum for advanced air mobility globally, driven by rapid urbanisation, government support for sustainable transport, and increasing regional partnerships.

In Europe and the UK, we have robust, transparent certification pathways through the European Aviation Safety Authority and UK Civil Aviation Authority. Certification with these regulators is to the highest of standards in the industry and will be portable to other regions - a key reason we have anchored our development strategy around these regulators.

In the Middle East, we are seeing a surge in interest from both public and private sectors to integrate electric and hybrid aircraft into future mobility ecosystems - from smart city developments to intercity logistics. Once we have certified in the UK and Europe we will quickly expand to the region and beyond. 

Q: What technologies do you predict will impact the aerospace industry most in the next five years?

The next five years will be defined by the rise of electric and hybrid aviation - especially eVTOL platforms designed to meet the same 10⁻⁹ safety standards as today’s commercial aircraft.

Our VX4 exemplifies this shift: a premium, piloted aircraft offering quiet, zero-emission flight with comfort suited to the Middle East’s luxury and business travel markets. Its six-seat configuration will be transformative, enabling operators to scale services and reduce fares, while doubling revenue potential compared to four-seat competitors.

Q: What are your expectations from Dubai Airshow 2025 and what can attendees expect to see from your company?

Dubai Airshow is one of the world’s premier aerospace showcases, and we look forward to back-to-back meetings with industry leaders, customers, and investors throughout the event.
Following our successful eVTOL Discovery Day in Riyadh, we are deepening our engagement in the region. 

Q: What are your company’s plans ahead in the region?

In the Middle East, our focus is on building long-term partnerships that align with regional ambitions for clean, connected aviation.

For the region’s high-temperature, coastal, and desert environments, we have engineered the VX4 with enhanced payload capacity, optimized thermal management, and robust air conditioning systems to maintain performance under demanding conditions.
