Ahsen Rajput is the Managing Director, Customer Finance, Middle East & Africa, Boeing Commercial Airplanes. His team’s responsibilities include managing all external and internal relationships with customer airlines, banks, lessors, Export Credit Agencies and Sales and Marketing teams with an objective to ensure financing availability for Boeing deliveries.  

From 2019-2022, he was the Executive Director, Sales and Marketing responsible for the relationship with some of Boeing’s most strategic customers in the MEA region including Qatar Airways, Ethiopian Airline and Etihad Airways whereby he successfully led airplane and services sales campaigns.

Ahsen joined Boeing in July 2015 as Deputy Managing Director, Middle East, Africa and South Asia, Boeing Capital Corporation (BCC). Prior to that, Ahsen had a 10 years of Structured Financing experience as a banker. He was the Executive Director – Aviation & Transport, ECAs & Wholesale Banking at National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD). And before NBAD, Ahsen worked for Deutsche Bank as Vice President, Regional Head of the Middle East & North Africa working out of the London office.  Preceding his banking career, Ahsen served as a Squadron Leader in the Pakistan Air Force. 

Ahsen holds a B.E in Aeronautical Engineering, M.S. in Computer Science and an M.Sc. in Management and Regulation of Risk from the London School of Economics (LSE).  Ahsen is well versed in both conventional and Islamic financing and has led multi-billion dollar secured as well as unsecured transactions for airlines, lessors and the ECAs. His experience has been instrumental in further development of aviation finance in the region.   

 Ahsen squeezes a bit of time for sports between work and the demands of the family. He is an is an avid runner and squash player. During his time off, Ahsen likes to spend time travelling with the family.
