Eng. Aisha Obaid Almheiri is the Assistant Director of Support Services for IT at Sharjah Airport Authority and a recognized leader in aviation technology and innovation. With over 17 years of experience in IT within the aviation sector, she has been instrumental in driving Sharjah Airport’s digital transformation agenda, ensuring technology supports the airport’s vision of smart, efficient, and sustainable operations.
She holds a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering and an Executive MBA, complemented by multiple certifications in technology and leadership. Her expertise spans IT strategy, governance, and digital transformation, with a strong focus on artificial intelligence, automation, and emerging technologies that enhance both operational resilience and passenger experience.
Eng. Aisha has represented Sharjah Airport at leading aviation conferences and exhibitions worldwide and completed specialized innovation and technology programs to stay ahead of industry trends. She is particularly passionate about harnessing AI-driven solutions to improve customer experience, optimize airport operations, and support sustainability goals.
Beyond her leadership role at Sharjah Airport, she serves as the Vice Chair of the Airports Council International (ACI) World IT Standing Committee and an active member of the ACI Asia-Pacific IT Committee, collaborating globally to shape the future of airport technology and digital services.
