Dr. Bhaskar Dasgupta is a Senior Board Member & Business Executive with proven regulatory engagement, strategic business development, business transformation experience deploying advanced analytical and pragmatic delivery skills in various regulated and unregulated sectors - banking, markets, crypto, asset management, technology. He is currently serving on the board or advising several financially regulated firms in UAE, UK and Europe (Apex Group, Peregrine, AusGulf, Aarna Capital, Bunat Ventures, Masary Capital, ICICI Ventures) as well as currently undergoing regulatory approvals to join very large funds and regulated firms. He advises UAE/India and UK based families/Family Office Advisory firms (DR Partners) and is an angel investor / advisor to HealthTech/Biotech, EdTech, AgTech and FinTech startups. He is a visiting faculty and member of advisory boards at several universities in UK, UAE and India. 

Dr. Dasgupta’s previous full-time role was leading the market development of Abu Dhabi’s Financial Centre (Abu Dhabi Global Market) and Financial Regulator (Financial Service Regulatory Authority) for sectors including Exchanges, Crypto, Digital Banking, Broker / Dealers, Venture Capital, FinTech, Sustainable Finance & Commodities. He was also responsible for Emerging Markets and Europe as a region. He helped triple AUM, making ADGM the largest regulated crypto jurisdiction in the world, quadrupled the number of broker dealers, helped launch ICE Futures Abu Dhabi (trading a million contracts within 6 months), making ADGM the biggest hub for venture capital in the region, etc.
