With a career spanning over 35 years in the travel industry, Peter brings invaluable expertise in aviation and tourism to his role as Chief Operating Officer.   
 
Peter joined Riyadh Air after three years at easyJet, where he oversaw a major restructuring of network operations and a new ancillaries focus as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to this, Peter served as Chief Executive Officer at Malaysia Airlines, leading the successful transformation and growth of the airline and its Engineering, Firefly and MASwings subsidiaries and holding responsibility for the pilots and in-flight crew across the airline’s fleet.  
 
Before joining Malaysia Airlines, Peter spent almost ten years at Ryanair, joining as Deputy Director of Flight Operations. In this role, Peter was responsible for maximising productivity, maintaining safety standards, and lowering network costs. Peter then executed a brand transformation as Head of Sales and Marketing, before transitioning to Director of Training and Recruitment Flight Operations, and subsequently Director of Flight Operations.  Over the course of a decade, Peter played a key role in a period of unprecedented global growth for the airline, growing from 80 to 400 aircraft, before returning for a second term as Chief Operations Officer.  
 
Prior to joining Ryanair, Peter held several executive roles in the travel and tourism industry, including Director and General Manager at Kerry Airport, Killarney in Ireland. Under his tenure at Kerry Airport, Peter was credited with increasing passenger volume from 6,000 to more than 400,000.  
 
Peter was named Travel Personality of the Year at the TTG Travel Awards in 2017, an award recognizing an outstanding individual taking proactive steps to develop the travel industry and demonstrating innovation in their field.  
 
As Chief Operating Officer of Riyadh Air, Peter will oversee flight operations, engineering, cabin crew, ground operations and safety, drawing on his experience of airport operations, travel IT and the tour operating industry. Peter holds a Bachelor of Business Studies and MA in Economics from Trinity College Dublin.
