Christopher Vrydag serves as the Director of Technical Supply Chain at Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, a position he has held since 2023. In this role, he oversees the end-to-end delivery of technical supply chain operations and leads strategic initiatives aimed at optimizing performance, reducing total cost of ownership, and enhancing resilience across Etihad’s global supply network. His leadership is distinguished by a forward-thinking approach, a strong focus on people enablement, and a commitment to long-term value creation. Prior to his current appointment, Christopher held several key leadership roles within Etihad Airways, including Head of Technical Contracts & Asset Management and Head of Project Management.
With a career spanning Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia, Christopher brings a global perspective and deep expertise in business transformation, engineering and maintenance, supply chain management, digital roadmap implementation, and change management.
He holds dual master’s degrees: one in Electro Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering, and another in Industrial Management – an academic foundation that complements his strategic and technical acumen.
