Chris Walton is Director, Business Development with VentureOne, and is responsible for the commercialization of technologies with a focus on autonomy and secure systems. Chris brings over 15 years of experience leading the commercialization of cutting-edge technologies across aerospace, defense, AI, and green-tech sectors. He has previously founded and led a deep-tech venture builder in Cambridge, UK focused on transforming academic innovation into real-world impact. Prior to this he held senior roles in the aerospace and defence industry, leading business units delivering major international technology projects and forging key partnerships across Europe, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Türkiye, and growing businesses in highly specialized technology domains. His background also includes hands-on engineering experience, including working as a flight test engineer and leading R&D collaborations with the University of Cambridge on novel geoengineering technologies. Chris holds an undergraduate degree in Aerospace Engineering, and a postgraduate Executive MBA and General Management Certificate from the University of Cambridge.
