Daniel Riefer is partner with McKinsey based out of Munich, Germany. At McKinsey, Daniel focuses on aviation topics along the entire value chain – from commercial airlines to private jets, MRO providers and SAF producers, and from on-time performance to fleet strategy. Together with the WEF Clean Skies for Tomorrow coalition, Daniel assessed options to decarbonize aviation and scale SAF, and he published several reports on SAF and e-fuels. Daniel started his career as a Lufthansa pilot and in 2011, as part of Lufthansa’s burnFAIR program, conducted world’s first SAF flight in regular airline operations.
