Darryl works in the Future Safety and Innovation division in the UK Civil Aviation Authority, overseeing the teams developing the approach to regulating eVTOLs –including recent publication of the CAA’s eVTOL Delivery Model - and the UK’s Hydrogen Challenge.
He joined the CAA from the UK Department for Transport where he was responsible for developing the Jet Zero Strategy - putting the UK aviation sector on the path to net-zero by 2050 - as well as the Future of Flight Action Plan, and overseeing the Department's role in the UK space strategy. He was worked on strategy development in Government for over ten years, with a background in energy and climate change policy in public-, private-, and the third-sector
