Dave Rouse

Dave is a philanthropic entrepreneur from New Zealand. He has expertise in climate science, natural ecosystems, business and emission trading scheme  & SAF policy. Dave has a genuine passion for people and the planet. He has owned over a dozen businesses, most of which were passion projects that grew quickly to profitable exit opportunities. He held several board positions and co-founded the charity “SeaCleaners”, which removed over 200 shipping containers' worth of plastics from our oceans. Philanthropic focus saw Dave’s attention move his investment efforts to support charity and startups that improved environmental outcomes, which is where his current journey with the other co-founders of CarbonClick began.

Dave is an inspiring individual who has shown a lifetime of dedication to environmental action. As the topic of climate change is growing year on year, Dave’s enthusiasm grows with it, never shying away from an opportunity to advocate for climate action (including at the last five COP events as an NZ delegate). Dave believes that climate change is the biggest challenge of our lifetime, but he is driven to help people reconnect with the planet and be inspired to take action. Each individual and business has a role to play in reversing climate change, and Dave believes the simpler and more transparent we can make it for people, the quicker we will collectively solve our current trajectory.
