Dr. Elias Tsoutsanis is Chief Researcher at the Technology Innovation Institute’s Propulsion and Space Research Center in the UAE. He leads a multidisciplinary team of experts advancing airbreathing, rocket, and electric propulsion, while leveraging artificial intelligence to create advanced propulsion technologies, alongside integrated software, hardware, and AIpowered solutions.
With over 25 years of global experience, he has held faculty and research leadership roles across the UK, UAE, Qatar, and Greece. He has directed major R&D initiatives in engine performance, simulation and control, diagnostics and prognostics, and AIenabled digital twin technology for propulsion and energy systems.
A Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society and a Chartered Engineer, Dr. Tsoutsanis holds a PhD in Gas Turbine Propulsion from Cranfield University, an MEng in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Liverpool, and a Certificate in Management Excellence (Leadership, Innovation & Strategy) from Harvard Business School.
