Marc-Philippe Lumpé is the Chief Operating Officer at Transat, a position he has held since 2022. With over 20 years of professional experience in the aviation and defence sectors, Marc-Philippe oversees all aspects of the company's airline operations, ensuring that strategic vision and operational excellence are seamlessly integrated.
Before joining Transat, Marc-Philippe held senior leadership roles at Virgin Atlantic Airways, Qatar Airways, Thomas Cook, Air Berlin, and the German armed forces, where he now holds the rank of reserve lieutenant colonel. Throughout his career, Marc-Philippe has led numerous transformation initiatives across airline operations, aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul, IT, and commercial functions.
A professional airline pilot by training, Marc-Philippe holds a PhD in Leadership and Organization from Cranfield University in the United Kingdom, as well as a master's degree in economics and an MBA from the University of Hagen in Germany.
