José Eduardo Moreira is the General Director of TAP Air Portugal Maintenance & Engineering. He holds a Mechanical Engineering college degree and has built a distinguished career with over 25 years of Aviation Industry experience. Mr. Moreira has worked across various sectors, such as CAMO, MRO and Lessors, where he held different roles: Planner Specialist, Power Plant Engineer, Test Cell Specialist, Fleet Manager, Safety Officer, Safety Investigator and Trainer. In 2017 he transitioned into senior leadership roles, becoming the Wide-Body Fleet & Airworthiness Manager for TAP-ME, handling complex technical projects involving aircraft Entry Into Service (EIS) and deliveries. He was responsible for the entire TAP’s A330NEO fleet EIS, as a launch customer. In 2021 became the Head of Technical at World Star Aviation, a Lease Company, being responsible for aircraft transactions, deliveries and redeliveries. Returning to TAP-ME in 2023 as a General Director, presently is also a post holder for multiple certification authorities, including EASA Part CAMO, EASA Part-145, and other CAA approvals.
