JR Hammond is the Founder and Executive Director of the Canadian Advanced Air Mobility (CAAM), Canada’s Federal Industry Association dedicated to operationalizing the country’s Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) ecosystem. Co-founded in 2018 with the National Research Council of Canada, CAAM serves as the driving force and unified voice for the AAM industry nationwide.
Under JR’s leadership, CAAM has spearheaded transformative initiatives spanning a diverse spectrum of AAM operations, from small Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) to Zero-Emission (Electric and Hydrogen) aircraft serving urban, regional, and commercial needs. With a network of over 250 member organizations and strategic partnerships with key stakeholders like Canada’s Civil Aviation Authority, Transport Canada, and NAV CANADA, CAAM is charting a collaborative and sustainable path for AAM operations across the nation.
