Maria Skotte

Maria Skotte was appointed Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO) at Copenhagen Airports in February 2024 and is tasked with ensuring that sustainability is incorporated into the airport's projects, activities and decision-making processes.
She joined the company in 2022 as Director of Sustainability, responsible for developing and implementing the sustainability strategy across the airport.
Prior to joining Copenhagen Airports, Maria held various positions related to climate, innovation and sustainability. This includes serving as Vice President of the cluster organisation CLEAN and as a sustainability consultant for both NIRAS and EY. Additionally, Maria has experience from Ørsted (formerly DONG Energy), where she worked with carbon credits and climate partnerships.
She holds a Master's degree in Environmental and Natural Resource Economics from The Royal Veterinarian and Agricultural College (now the University of Copenhagen).
