Muneef is currently the Managing Director of Newlab KSA, a Venture Platform focusing on accelerating commercialization for hard-tech startups and technologies. Previously, he was the General Director of Renewable Energy Policies at the Ministry of Energy working on developing policies and strategies to enable and develop the renewable energy sector in the Kingdom. He brings over 17 years of experience and has held several roles in government, consulting, strategy, project management and business development. He was a Management Consultant at Kearney working on several multi-disciplined projects with both public and private sectors. He was also a Strategy Director at NEOM setting the overarching strategy for the mega city. He has previously held multiple positions in Aramco working to deliver many projects such as Wasit Gas Plant (the largest gas plant ever built by Aramco) and setting up a Joint-Venture for the multi-billion-dollar Maritime project. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from McGill University, a Master's in Sustainable Energy from Georgia Tech and an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management
