Shannon Scott is Vice President Sustainability and Environment at Emirates Airline, where he leads the company’s environmental sustainability programme. He is a member of the International Air Transport Association’s Sustainability and Environment Advisory Council, and has been active in working groups of the International Civil Aviation Organization Committee on Aviation Environmental Protection (CAEP).
Before joining Emirates in 2013, he was a Senior Policy Advisor at the Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand, working on environmental and air navigation policy. In this role, he represented New Zealand as Observer on the ICAO CAEP. Prior to that, he led the New Zealand Ministry of Research, Science and Technology’s international cooperation programmes with North Asia.
