Sidney N. Nakahodo is the Founder and General Partner of Seldor Capital, a New York–based venture capital firm investing in breakthrough space technologies with scalable commercial and dual-use applications. He also serves as Adjunct Faculty at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), where his academic work focuses on the nexus of public policy, innovation, and technology.
Through Seldor Capital, Sidney has supported a portfolio of pioneering companies advancing capabilities in satellite data, in-orbit infrastructure, and sustainable industrial solutions. His work bridges investors, entrepreneurs, and policymakers worldwide to unlock the next wave of growth in the commercial-space sector. A Brazilian–American executive recognized for advancing international collaboration in technology and sustainability, Sidney previously worked at the World Bank and has advised governments, corporations, and startups on strategy and finance. He holds a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University and a Materials Engineering degree from Poli-USP, with executive training from Stanford GSB, Singularity University, and the Kiel Institute for the World Economy.
