Ms. Rasha Al Amad is the Chief of Strategic Planning & Projects at the Bahrain Space Agency (BSA). Her responsibilities include developing the National Space Policy and Strategies in close partnership with stakeholders, aligning it with His Majesty’s vision, and driving its implementation. She oversees the institutional planning, performance monitoring, risk management, and resource optimization to drive the Agency’s mission forward. Ms. Al Amad plays a pivotal role in strengthening international partnerships to advance the BSA's strategic goals. She currently chairs a key subcommittee under the Arab Space Cooperation Group, leading the development of the landmark Arab Space Strategy - a crucial framework for regional collaboration in space affairs. Alongside this regional leadership, she has strengthened the Agency's engagement with national stakeholders through capacity-building initiatives, research programs, and strategic outreach efforts. Additionally, she has spearheaded innovative projects addressing Bahrain's national priorities, driving sustainable development through space applications. Her contributions have earned her the National Action First Class Medal, awarded by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the development of Bahrain’s space sector. Ms. Al Amad holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Concordia University and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). She actively represents Bahrain in multiple international space organizations and working groups, advocating for the Kingdom's space interests on global platforms. Prior to joining BSA in 2016, she accumulated over a decade of executive experience across the education, private, and banking sectors, developing expertise in corporate strategy, project management, and business transformation.
